Exciting news! Our Cycling Program is reaching new heights with former pro cyclist and 2019 Brazil professional national road race champion, Vitor Schizzi, joining us as our Cycling Program Director in 2024. With Vitor’s experience and dedication, we’re thrilled to announce expanded services supported by our outstanding partners.
Asheville, NC is one of the most sought-after cycling destinations in the world, with hundreds of miles of quiet country and mountain roads with pristine surfaces including the the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway. No matter your fitness or skill level, we’re here to provide an exceptional, tailor-made experience that goes beyond just bike tours. Our mission is to represent the Appalachian region with a unique blend of on and off-the-bike activities and amenities. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing few days sight-seeing or you want to tackle a custom, fully supported cycling training camp or tour, The Applewood Manor has got you covered. For turnkey convenience, take advantage of our pre-designed touring and training camp packages featuring 4 riding days: arrival day ride + 3 epic rides. To get the most riding out of your visit, we offer early check-in on Thursday arrival even in time for a bonus pre-ride breakfast.

We could not deliver the best service without our valued partners including esteemed local bike shop Gravelo Workshop, world-class bike manufacturer 3T, sports nutrition innovator Torq and local top-of-the-line wheel builder Industry Nine. If you don’t want to travel with your bike, we maintain a fleet of 3T Exploro bikes suitable for road or gravel all outfitted with Industry Nine wheel sets. Before, during and after your rides you’ll fuel up and recover with Torq Nutrition products. And when you need anything for your bike.…including a new one… Gravelo Workshop is standing by.
All our group cycling experiences are operated as a USA Cycling event for the safety of our guests. The Applewood Manor is a proud supporter of the USA Cycling Development Foundation. We are further assisted in our efforts by local elite cycling team Super Squadra an Applewood Manor sponsored USA Cycling club whose members act as local ambassadors on our behalf.

- PRO STYLE CAMP or LUXURY TOUR | Daily ride distances 20 to 100+ miles, follow vehicle at all rides, all daily meals on and off the bike, 3 gourmet dinners at Applewood Manor + a curated dinner at one of AVL’s top local restaurants, wine selections , craft beer selections, Torq nutrition products, complimentary use of 3T bike fleet, route planning, on ride ambassador guides, daily mechanic service and bike cleaning, coaching, group drills and more. | PRICE PER PERSON: $3,900 staying at Applewood single occupancy or $3,200 double occupancy. $2,600 a person staying off-site.
- STANDARD CAMP or TOUR | Daily ride distances 20 to 100+ miles, way-point support, daily breakfast and lunch, 3 buffet style dinners at Applewood Manor, craft beer on draught, Torq nutrition products, complimentary use of 3T bike fleet, route planning, on ride ambassador guides, mechanic service if needed. | PRICE PER PERSON: $2,900 staying at Applewood single occupancy or $2,200 double occupancy. $1,600 a person staying off-site.
- JUST RIDE CAMP or TOUR | Pick your routes or some of ours and off you go! Daily breakfast at Applewood Manor, Torq nutrition products, complimentary use of 3T bike fleet, route planning and basic bike maintenance and care. If you need a rescue on ride, we have your back. Dinners, wine, beer, advanced mechanic service, etc. can be provided as needed for additional fees. | PRICE PER PERSON: $1,950 staying at Applewood single occupancy or $1,250 double occupancy. $625 a person staying off-site.
