Now that we’ve shared the big news, here are all the details about changes to our schedule, services and policies for 2024:

• Applewood Manor will be open for individual room bookings in 2024 only during the months of June and July and then September and October. We will be closed otherwise except for special events. Check our CALENDAR for information about special events.
• During the periods when we are open for guests, individual room reservations will only be available Thursday through Sunday nights. We will be closed Monday through Wednesday each week to service the property between guest stays.
• Our minimum stay will remain 2 nights; however, 2 night stays will be offered at a premium rate while 3 and 4 night stays will enjoy discounted rates. Our maximum stay will be 4 nights. For Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day long weekends our minimum stay will be 3 nights with a 5 night maximum.
• Generally, our 2024 rates will be increasing to ensure we can continue to deliver an outstanding guest experience along with expanded culinary and cycling services. Because October is seasonally the most coveted time to visit Asheville and October will be our final month of operation, we’re planning for special amenities and experiences and our rates will reflect these considerations.
• Rooms available will be lowered to 5 instead of 6 because our Winesap suite serve as our private living quarters. We will still welcome well behaved pets in our Cortland Cottage suite which is separate from the main house.
• During periods when we are open for individual room bookings, dinner will be offered regularly on both Friday and Saturday nights along with wine, beer and cocktail service.
• We only accept direct bookings. The Applewood Manor will not be available to book on any online travel agency site such as Expedia, Booking.com, Travelocity, Airbnb, etc.
• Our deposit and cancellation policy for individual room reservations of 50% at the time of booking will remain unchanged, but we are increasing the notice of cancellation window to obtain a full deposit refund from 30 to 45 or fewer days from the arrival date. Because the business will be closing permanently, we regrettably will not be able to offer gift certificates or reservations for future dates in the event of a cancellation.
• Our deposit and cancellation policy for full-house group reservations is diverging from our individual room booking policy as described above. Please note that a full-house group booking cancellation policy applies to any reservation by a single group for 3 or more rooms. For full-house group reservations, a 50% deposit will be required. Cancellation after 72 hours from booking will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the deposit amount or 10% of the full price for the reservation. Cancellation 60 or fewer days from the arrival date will result in a forfeiture of the entire deposit.
