This painting just acquired from the online site https://www.1stdibs.com/ has serious sentimental value. While living in New York City in the early ‘90s graffiti artist Peter Mayer painted his iconic “Dog” all over the city especially in Soho. Peter Mayer, a.k.a. the Dog Man of Soho, achieved worldwide fame for his depictions of dogs on the streets of New York City. We met him once and he drew a dog for us on a business card that sadly has long been lost. When I stumbled on this original I had to have it. The painting will be on display in our dog friendly Cortland Cottage suite along with many other fun works. # # #
