MONTFORD PARK PLAYERS

Asheville, as you might be able to discern from the vibrant downtown, is a city that proudly embraces the arts. If you’re looking to engage with Asheville’s artists or are generally interested in Asheville’s local community, look no further than the Montford Park Players. This is a non-profit organization which produces a variety of plays, mostly Shakespeare, but often other classics throughout the year. This organization is highly-praised by their community, the actors and production team have been endorsed by many viewers for their work. The plays are performed at the Hazel Robinson Amphitheater in the Montford Community Center Complex, less than a 15 minute walk from Applewood Manor. The performances are completely free and outdoors, all you need to do is book your ticket online. At the moment, the theater is presenting Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ from May 28-June 19. This is a fun, relaxed, evening activity you can do that will involve you into Asheville’s community, and you will not be disappointed by their fantastic renditions of classic plays. Simply put, it is not something to miss out on! For more information, check out their website: https://www.montfordparkplayers.org/
