AppleWood Manor Inn is located 49 miles from Mt. Mitchell (the highest peak east of the Mississippi at 6,684 feet) or 65 miles to take a train ride through the Smoky Mountains. From the Inn you can easily enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking, hiking to view a multitude of natural waterfalls, or visiting some of the many local historical attractions of Asheville.

FROM THE WEST: Take I-240 to Exit 4-C. At the top of the ramp make an immediate right onto Haywood Street. Turn right at the traffic signal onto Montford Avenue. Follow Montford to the traffic signal at Chestnut Street West, turn right. At the flashing red light and stop sign, turn left onto Cumberland Avenue, go 1/4 mile and bear right onto Cumberland Circle.

Note that Cumberland Circle bears to the right opposite Soco Street on the left.
